We're in the paper! Our girls' camp at FT Starnberg 09

Report in the local paper

Girls' football is growing – and with it the need for proper goalkeeper training for girls. That is exactly what the local paper in the Starnberg district reported on: for the second time, young female goalkeepers had the chance to work on their game at our girls' goalkeeper camp on the grounds of FT Starnberg 09.

The camp was led by Tom Deppisch, professional goalkeeper coach and volunteer DFB talent-identification and regional centre coach, and Bettina Horváth, goalkeeper coach of FC Bayern Munich's U15 team, who also works with the Hungarian women's junior national team.

On the programme: coordination exercises, precise catching and diving technique, and demanding positioning in one-on-one situations.

The camp attracted talent from well beyond the district: two goalkeepers from the U17 Bayernliga, a Hungarian junior national goalkeeper, and participants from the Landsberg and Ingolstadt districts.

FT chairman Robert Weiß praised not only the athletic ambition but also the fun and the exchange across national borders – and announced: “This was not the last camp of its kind.”

Our thanks go to FT Starnberg 09, to all participants and parents – and to the press for the report.
